. Treatment > Rosacea Treatment With Yellow Laser What is Pro Yellow Laser? The German-engineered Pro Yellow Laser is an improved version of the commonly used Dual Yellow/Combination laser at some clinics. Due to its unique wavelength of 577nm, the Pro Yellow laser represents the gold standard for vascular treatments such as vascular lesion removal and vascular laser for rosacea and epidermal pigmentation treatment such as depigmentation of the skin. Its ability to target both pigmentation and underlying vessels for long-lasting results is one of the reasons why this laser is a popular aesthetic tool used by it is applied at a precise wavelength of 577 nm, Pro Yellow Laser is a safe option for treating several facial skin conditions like acne marks, rosacea, pigmentation, facial veins, and uneven skin textures. However, it must be noted that results are manifested gradually, with skin emerging clearer, more even-textured, and younger-looking Pro Yellow DifferenceThe main differences between the Pro Yellow and other skin rejuvenation lasers are the wavelength and the available pulse duration adjustments of each desired wavelength. In other words, different laser wavelengths colours of light target different skin issues, providing the physician can match the proper wavelength with the proper pulse durations to achieve the desired clinical endpoint without affecting the surrounding the most commonly used laser wavelength for the treatment of pigmented lesions such as sunspots & age spots and vascular lesions or unsightly veins has been the 532nm laser, or green laser lasers provide very good results in skin types I to III fairer skin tone, but 532nm is no longer the ideal wavelength or colour for targeting vascular lesions for skin types IV and V darker skin tone. Colour Matters When Treating Spider Veins or PigmentationThe industryâs first 577nm pure yellow laser for skin rejuvenation provides the best absorption when treating blood vessels. Compared to the standard green wavelength 532nm, the yellow wavelength can produce 40% higher absorption in the blood. This translates to less required power during treatment, which in turn provides several significant advantages, includingMinimal risk of side effects, such as burns or PIHAbility to treat vascular lesions at much lower power than 532nm lasersAbility to safely treat darker skin types, which is not typical for 532nm lasersAbility to provide fractional laser scanning for rejuvenation on all skin to provide fractional laser scanning for rosacea on all skin type. Ability to safely treat vascular lesions on skin types I to IVAbility to simultaneously treat both the VEGF and mid to epidermal melasmaAbility to safely treat pigmented lesions on all skin typeDepth Matters When Treating Pigmentation and Facial VeinsThe majority of visible unwanted skin spots, discoloration or redness blood vessels, are rooted in a deeper vascular network of veins that that extend beyond the treatable depth of traditional green 532nm lasers. Not addressing these areas can result in recurrence and the inability to effectively treat deeper pigmented and vascular Pro Yellow laser penetrates deeper than standard green lasers, simultaneously addressing both visible lesions and underlying vessels. This also allows for safe treatment of a wider variety of indications for both light and dark skin Wide Variety of Treatment OptionsVascular ConditionsVascular lesions are caused by small, dilated capillaries. They can appear as red spots, or visible threads on the skin. The Pro Yellow laser can readily treat think by shrinking the vessels with its yellow light, with no damage to the veins and blood vessels â the ProYellow Laser has the highest rate of absorption in red blood cells compared to any other lasers. This results in the reduction of unsightly veins or blood vessels on the face, especially common on the cheeks and and rosacea â Redness and rosacea are caused by dilated bigger in size blood vessels. The ProYellow laser effectively reduces the size/or completely eliminates these blood vessels, therefore resulting in reduced redness and a more even marks after acne â These red marks are also known as PIE Post- inflammatory Erythema or Erythema post-acne. The red marks formed due to increased blood circulation at badly-inflamed areas such as moderate to severe acne and persist even after the acne heals. The ProYellow laser can very effectively reduce these red marks by reducing the blood vessels in these angiomas, Telangiectasia, etc. Pigmentation & Skin RejuvenationThe ProYellow laser is the first laser that offers two options for treating pigmentation and skin rejuvenation. The scanner handpiece for larger areas and more diffused pigmentation, and the individual spot handpiece for targeted lesions/ such as melasma, sun/age spots, freckles â Due to its unique wavelength, the energy from the ProYellow laser is absorbed by both melanin pigments and the underlying blood vessels. This results in breakdown of pigments and at the same time, reduces the blood supply to the skin cells that produce these pigments. This will prevent these skin cells from producing pigments and ensure longer-lasting rejuvenation â Apart from reducing redness and pigmentation, the ProYellow laserâs energy is also absorbed into the dermis skin layer to treat and improve the skinâs support structure. Skin will look brighter and feel tighter with just one Advice & RecommendationThe Yellow laser is an effective wavelength for treating pigmented lesions, as it has the ability to target both the pigment and underlying vessels for long-lasting results. A yellow laser beam also acts as the laser treatment for acne is directed at the face, which destroys the Propionibacterium acne bacteria and shrinks the sebaceous gland to reduce the production of sebum. The yellow light also promotes collagen growth and reduces small red blood vessels. This resulting an overall tightening, firming and rejuvenating effect on Thean has devised various of protocols for different conditions. By using a combination of different wavelength lasers, he is able to treat and improve the efficacy of the condition. The results can also been seen longer lasting.
The efficacy and safety of pro-yellow laser treatment for the management of vascular skin lesions was reported in study data published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. In a study of patients with myriad vascular skin conditions, treatment with 577-nm pro-yellow laser was associated with substantial improvement in lesion size and appearance. Treatment was well tolerated by all patients. Although pro-yellow laser is an established treatment method for diabetic retinopathy, only a limited number of studies have evaluated its efficacy and safety for the management of vascular skin lesions. To close this gap, investigators retrospectively assessed the outcomes of patients who received treatment with a pro-yellow laser at a dermatology clinic in Turkey. Patients with a clinical diagnosis of any vascular skin condition were eligible for inclusion; their demographic data and clinical history were extracted from medical records. All patients received treatment with the same laser apparatus at 4-week intervals. Treatment efficacy was assessed through clinical examination performed at baseline and 4 weeks after the last laser session. Improvement was rated by clinicians on an ordinal scale based on level of lesion improvement âexcellentâ 75% to 100% improved, âvery goodâ 50% to 74%, âgoodâ 25% to 49%, and âpoorâ less than25%. Adverse events were catalogued and reported. A total of 74 patients received pro-yellow laser treatment at the participating dermatology clinic. Their mean age was years and the majority were women. Patient skin phototypes ranged from Fitzpatrick type 2 to type 3 Various vascular skin conditions were represented in the cohort, including facial telangiectasia n=37, erythematotelangiectatic rosacea n=13, port-wine stain n=6, spider angioma n=6, venous lake n=6, cherry angioma n=4, and scrotal angiokeratoma n=2. The mean number of laser sessions varied by diagnostic group, and ranged from 1 to Very good to excellent improvement was observed in the majority of the study cohort. Among patients with facial telangiectasia, and experienced excellent or very good improvement, respectively. In patients treated for rosacea, experienced excellent improvement, experienced very good improvement, and experienced good improvement. In patients with venous lake, results were evenly divided between excellent 50% and very good 50% improvement. All patients with cherry angioma, spider angioma, and scrotal angiokeratoma experienced excellent improvement following laser treatment. The only reported adverse event was erythema in the treatment area, which resolved within 24 to 48 hours of laser application. Treatment efficacy was not significantly associated with patient age, sex, or skin phototype. Based on these results, pro-yellow laser is an effective, safe option for the management of vascular skin lesions. However, because the trial did not enroll patients with severe vascular problems, results cannot be extrapolated to more serious lesions. â[The] pro-yellow laser provides efficient results without side effects like edema, petechia and purpura,â investigators wrote. âThe pro-yellow device is small, compact, user friendly and has [an] integrated cooling system [and] these features make it practical for daily use in dermatology clinics.â Reference Aksoy Sarac G, Onder M. Sun damage, dark spots, and unwanted pigmentation are skin imperfections that many people go to great lengths to hide or remove. Featured on The Doctors television show, one patient finally achieved the results she longed for using the QuadroStarPRO YELLOW laser after years of failed treatments and expensive temporary solutions for concealing her melasma. During this special episode of The Doctors, we meet Trisha, a PR consultant and TV host based in Las Vegas. Due to the public nature of her work, she must always be camera-ready and able to put her best foot forward. We learn that Trisha has struggled with melasma, sun damage, and Lupus for more than 20 years, causing her skin to appear uneven with dark spots and redness. Feeling self-conscious of her skin's natural appearance, Trisha avoids public outings with her daily heavy makeup coverage sometimes spending more than $750 a month on cosmetics. Trisha has tried many laser treatments, including IPL, but has never achieved lasting results. During her consultation, Dr. Gregory Mueller, a board-certified plastic surgeon, recommends treatment with the QuadroStar PRO YELLOW laser. Almost immediately after her first treatment with the PRO YELLOW, Trisha is thrilled by her initial results, even noting some dark spots had already vanished. Thanks to the PRO YELLOW's unique yellow wavelength and other optimized features, it's become the ultimate solution for melasma, vascular lesions, dark spots, and more, similar to Trisha's unwanted pigmentation. With the help of the PRO YELLOW's innovative technology, Trisha is finally able to enjoy lasting results and feel confident in her skin without heavy foundation and makeup. The yellow 577 nm wavelength produced by the QuadroStarPRO YELLOW lies at the maximum hemoglobin absorption limit. This absorption is 40% higher than that of KTP lasers. Thus it is more selective, allowing for increased precision in targeting unwanted lesions. Maximum hemoglobin absorption levels, unparalleled exactness, and various unique treatment modes make the QuadroStarPRO YELLOW the gold standard for treating vascular lesions. Compared to the green KTP laser 532 nm, The QuadroStarPRO YELLOW requires less fluence to achieve the same results. Because the PRO YELLOW has a lower level of melanin absorption than KTP lasers, it can effectively treat darker skin types with less damage and significantly reduced unwanted side effects such as hypopigmentation.
